About the Club
Newcomers & Neighbors Club is a social club, great for meeting new members and staying connected. . Lots of fun conversations and laughter so invite some more friends and neighbors to join too! The more the merrier.
Our club is dedicated to helping all of our HHP residents integrate into our community and to enjoy all we have to offer on this island. The club normally meets on the third Tuesday of each month, September to May. However, adjustments may need to be made based on conflicts with other clubs and or holidays.
Most meetings follow the format of a social hour followed by a meal with a local popular speaker or a game. We even have a very popular raffle to participate in at each meeting. Meetings usually begin at 6:00 pm and end at 8:30 pm (unless times are noted differently for a specific event).
Look for detailed information of our events in your email, Facebook, Engage, and on our website.
We send out event email notices two to three weeks in advance, usually on the first of each month. If you are not receiving them, be sure to check your spam and other folders (in Gmail). You can also sign up for events on the website on the first of month.
We have catered and Potluck events. Most potluck events will be covered by your membership fee but some special events that are hybrid potluck or catered may require an additional nominal fee. Depending on an event’s capacity, members may or may not be able to bring guests for a fee, so having your guest join “if they live in this community” is the best option if you want to assure attendance. Outside the community, family and friends visiting of course are welcome but, the guest fee must be paid by the membership resident.
We hope those with special dietary requirements will be able to participate with the potlucks planned by making sure they bring something of their choice or preference.
Also, the club is an adults only group geared toward socializing with other adults.
We would love to accommodate everyone but we cannot accommodate walk-ins due to preplanning requirements for meals and facility capacity.
Members that would like to access the Membership Directory can request the password by using the Contact Us form. You must be a current member to receive the password. Passwords will be changed randomly.
